The Story Behind Ouhh Dats Nice

It started with a burp.
It was 2024. Where is the most likely place for an ex-Muslim and a Catholic to meet?
A bar? A party? A movie?
No. Somehow, it was at a Protestant church.
By complete chance, two unlikely church mates were placed in the same group. One evening, while everyone was sitting around having dinner, someone unexpectedly let out an enormous burp right in the middle of another person speaking.
There was a brief moment of silence.
Not knowing how else to respond, the person leaned back and said:
“Ouhh… dats nice.”
The whole table lost it.
The reaction became an inside joke that we kept repeating long after that night. We had no idea at the time, but those three words would eventually become the name of a drink brand.
From an inside joke to a real idea
For a while, there had been conversations about starting a business together. Eventually, we decided to stop talking about it and actually give it a go.
We knew we wanted to create a drink, but we needed a name that felt memorable, fun and different.
The answer was obvious:
Ouhh Dats Nice.
From May to October 2025, we spent countless hours developing, tasting and refining our first product. After months of research and development, Ouhh Dats Nice officially launched in November 2025 with our signature Finger Lime Bitters.
Made with Australian finger lime, ODN is a refreshing, non-alcoholic drink created for people who want something a little more exciting than the usual soft drink.
Born in Melbourne
Since launching, ODN has grown through farmers markets, online orders and the support of our wholesale customers.
What began as an inside joke at a church dinner has become a proudly independent Melbourne beverage brand with a growing community behind it.
Every market visit, online order, social-media comment and person who has recommended ODN to a friend has helped us continue building the brand.
To everyone who has supported us so far:
Thank you.
But the story is far from over.
This is only the beginning, and there are many more exciting things to come.

Try it once. You might just say, “OUHH DATS NICE.”
